Famous, Rich and In the Slums

In 2011 three billion people live in abject poverty surviving on less than £1.50 per day.

It's an existence that few people in the west can possibly understand.

So four well known personalities - Comedian Lenny Henry, presenter and journalist Angela Rippon, actress Samatha Womack, TV and radio star Reggie Yates - have agreed to spend a week living and working in Kiberia in Nairobi. It's Africa's biggest slum and home to some of the poorest people on the planet.

This series follows what happens when four high profile supporters of Comic Relief go beyond charity work and exprience what daily life is really like for those living in extreme poverty.
