Gay Muslims

This film documents the lives of five British gay and lesbian Muslims – only one of whom dares to reveal his identity. Many of them try to retain their religion and be true to their sexuality, but find it’s a daily battle that can last for years. There’s Abdullah, who is out within his community but still not properly accepted; Razeem, who was beaten up by his father when he was outed to his family; Adnan, who is out and happy to reveal his identity; Farah, a young lesbian whose parents do not accept her sexuality; and Shaqir who has known he’s gay for 18 years, but only came out to his parents eight weeks ago.
