According to 2011 World Bank figures, 13.7% of the world’s population survive on less than $1.90 per day. In this two-part documentary for Comic Relief, comedian Lenny Henry, actress Samantha Womack, TV and radio star Reggie Yates and presenter and journalist Angela Rippon agree to swap their lives of privilege and luxury for a week living and working in Kibera – reportedly Africa’s largest slum and one of the most impoverished places on earth – in a bid to understand what life is really like for those living in extreme poverty.
